ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, this role will play a key part in the day-to-day financial accounting function, ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of monthly and annual results.

You’ll take ownership of cash flow reporting, bank reconciliations, maintaining G/L integrity, and supporting month-end and year-end processes. You will also contribute to finance system improvements and continuous process optimisation across the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare month-end journals, reconciliations, and variance commentary

  • Manage and maintain daily cash flow models and bank reconciliations

  • Maintain G/L integrity and review AP batches before posting

  • Support budgeting and forecasting cycles

  • Maintain the fixed asset register and chart of accounts

  • Support finance automation and process improvement projects

  • Administer corporate credit cards and eTags

  • Provide backup support for AR when required

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance (CPA/CA in progress preferred)

  • 3+ years’ experience in industry or 2+ years in public practice

  • Previous retail sector experience advantageous

  • Strong Excel and financial systems skills (Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience ideal)

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Proactive, collaborative, and curious mindset
