ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to senior leaders within the Corporate Advisory division, this Assistant Manager role offers exposure to a broad range of transaction-focused and strategic assignments. You will work closely with clients on projects such as business valuations, due diligence, financial modelling, and transaction support.

This position suits a technically strong accountant from public practice looking to move into a commercially focused advisory role while continuing to develop leadership capabilities.

DUTIES

  • Assist with business and equity valuations
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and transaction projects
  • Conduct financial modelling and strategic analysis
  • Participate in due diligence engagements
  • Prepare businesses for sale and assist with negotiations
  • Support capital raising and finance applications
  • Provide commercial insights and recommendations to clients
  • Review financial information and compliance matters
  • Liaise directly with clients and stakeholders
  • Mentor and review work of junior staff

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in public practice (Business Services or Advisory)
  • CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion)
  • Strong financial analysis and modelling capability
  • Exposure to corporate advisory, transactions, or business valuations advantageous
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercial mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
  • Experience with Xero and BGL beneficial
