Kelly Engineering is recruiting a Production Supervisor, for a company from the textile sector, located in Aveiro.

Main Responsibilities: 

• Leading and developing a team of production operators, supervising and monitoring day-to-day production line operations and outputs according to plant policies and procedures while ensuring smooth production operation during shifts;
• Ensuring a clean and safe work area in accordance with Health & Safety policies and procedures;
• Scheduling shifts to ensure production targets are met. This includes: work station assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations;
• Liaising with quality control to ensure products meet quality regulations and standards. Making adjustments as necessary during shifts to produce product within specifications. Reject products that don’t meet specifications;
• Driving a continuous improvement mindset through development of team members and the usage of Lean tools to optimize KPI’s;
• Carrying out the performance evaluation discussions with the team;
• Having regular communication with the team and individual collaborators (if necessary);
• Promoting daily meetings per shift, namely, communications on safety, productivity, quality, among other matters of important feedback to the working group.
• Reporting near misses and accidents in the work area;

Profile:

• BSc/MSc in Engineering preferably Mechanical, Industrial Management or Textile;
• At least 2 years of experience leading teams in industrial contexts;
• Knowledge of machinery, products and production flow;
• Good knowledge of Lean;
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus;
• Good command of English;

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, being a proactive and dynamic team player who is analytical and organized.
