Production Department Manager (M/F)- Aveiro (BBBH610607) Aveiro, Portugal
Kelly Engineering is recruiting a Production Department Manager, for a company from the textile industry, located in Aveiro.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Production Supervisors ensuring policies, procedures and best practices are followed in terms of Health & Safety and Quality;
- Ensure training plans are in place to address individual development in working methods and operational processes;
- Manage and optimise volumes and production capacity to meet customer expectations in terms of Quality and Delivery times;
- Manage the department's budget including labor, material, raw material, semi-finished products and maintenance costs;
- Monitor and manage departmental performance focusing on HSE, Quality and Productivity KPI’s;
- Drive innovative ways to improve Productivity and Quality building a continuous improvement mind-set, focusing on developing and executing plans and programs to ensure effective use of labor, equipment, space, and materials.
Profile:
- BSc/MSc in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Industrial Management or Textile;
- At least 5 years of experience managing teams in industrial contexts;
- Knowledge of machinery, products and production flow;
- Good knowledge of Lean;
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus;
- Good command of English;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, being a proactive and dynamic team player who is analytically and organised.
