Our prestigous client based in the Benson area are looking for a Service Engineer to join the growing business.

An enjoyment of engineering, a willingness to travel as well as being comfortable around customers, working under pressure and flexibility are all vital to the role.

The vast majority of service calls will be based within the UK but very occasionally an overseas trip will be necessary. Maybe twice a year.

The Role will involve.

• Building and testing machines in the workshop
• Wiring control panels
• Visiting customers in the form of a pre-booked service visit or a break down emergency visit.
• Liaising with customers during and after the build for technical support

The candidate should have:

• The desire to deliver high quality work
• A history of machine building or machine maintenance
• A strong mechanical AND Electrical understanding
• A good understanding of pneumatics
• The ability to read drawings both electrical and mechanical
• A pleasant and fair customer manner
• The willingness to work overtime and stay away from home if necessary
• A desire to continue learning.
• Most importantly, the ability to remain calm and upbeat under pressure

An extreme advantage but by no means essential, the candidate would have:

• Electrical knowledge and design of low voltage control panels.
• An understanding of PLC programming/controls/logic.

Salary

• £36,000 - £42,000 per annum but is negotiable depending on experience.
