We are a leading provider of full-service staffing and management programs for the K-12 educational market. We are currently seeking an Area Manager to service the School District of Manatee County

OVERVIEW:  The successful candidate serves as the primary representative of ESS for multiple school districts in the assigned area.

 

SCHEDULE:

  • Working Hours: Monday-Friday
  • Work Location: On-Site
  • Travel Required: Within assigned region in Manatee county
  • FLSA Status: Exempt

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Conduct site-visits and meetings with ESS clients in assigned geographic area.
  • Manage and direct all activities within the assigned geographic areas including, but not limited to, interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and terminating.
  • Maintain exceptional relationships with ESS clients and staff through principal meetings and support and district/community support.
  • Attend BOE meetings.
  • Track various statistics such as turnover and retention, budget/forecast analysis, and headcount.
  • Other duties as assigned by Account Manager.

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages and motivates staff (including hiring, staff discipline, performance management and recognition duties).
  • Assess staffing needs, and recruit staff using methods such as newspaper advertisements or attendance at job fairs.
  • Train, direct and appraise staff.
  • Make daily schedules for proper manpower utilization.
  • Plans and organizes workload and staff assignments.
  • Issues written and oral instructions; assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and/or 2 years related experience or training; experience in management within a School District, Private School, Charter School or College environment is preferred. *Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with management reports.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management skills.
