I am currently looking for an experienced and confident Company Accountant for a family owned, well established company based in the Ashton in Makerfield area of Wigan. Having been established for over 40 years, my client is a leader in their field with a very good reputation

 The successful Company Accountant will be responsible for:

• Financial planning and meetings
• In charge of the monthly management accounts for a £10 mill t/o reporting to the off site accountants
• Accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries and corrections, weekly profit and loss reports.
• Completing monthly VAT returns
• All HMRC returns
• Daily banking and reconciliations of various bank accounts
• Overseeing and assisting with the company sales ledger and purchase ledgers
• Processing invoices and statements
• Processing expense claims and credit cards
• Assisting with payroll - weekly and monthly
• Reporting monthly of accurate financial information
• Chasing debtors, logging calls, issuing statements
• Human resources duties
• Assisting external accountants with year end and self assessment

The position offers 22 days holiday+bank holidays, 37.5 hours per week, free parking and pension.

We are looking for someone who is currently or has worked recently as a Company Accountant, Management Accountant of Company Bookkeeper with a minimum of two years of experience and lives within a commutable distance of the WN4 postcode area of Wigan.

This would suit someone who enjoys a varied role and is happy working at various levels.
