A leading Food Manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Scarborough is currently looking for an experienced Materials Controller to join their team. This role has come about due to continuous growth and success within their sector and expansion within the purchasing/supply chain team.

The successful Materials Controller will be responsible for:

• Identifying supply risks and working with internal stakeholders to agree an alternative supply plan to overcome or reduce the risk.
• Controlling raw materials; purchasing materials at the most economical price; reporting on supplier performance with the overall aim of achieving the best value for money for the business. 
• Working with the Purchasing & Logistics Manager to improve internal processes and establish new ways of working to underpin the needs of a growing business, whilst ensuring internal expectations are met, supporting the wider business in achieving the best possible service to our external customers.

I am really keen to see your CV if you have experience within a Materials Controller or Purchasing/Supply Chain role with good knowledge and understanding of modern MRP purchasing systems, along with excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as have experience within a manufacturing background.
