A well-established leading manufacturing company based in the Scarborough area is looking for an experienced buyer to join the business.

In the buyer position you will be responsible for:

• The control of stock parts and canban systems including adjustment of stock quantity, reorder levels, and phase-out strategy.
• Providing the operations manager with analysis and written reports.
• Undertaking the proactive reviews on supplier cost, lead times, quality and specification.
• Liaising with the planning department to ensure timely deliveries of parts and components on a just-in-time basis.
• Managing a small team to deliver an efficient buying and stores department.
