Heavy Equipment Mechanic (BBBH6347) Richmond, Michigan

Responsibilities:
- Diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of off-road heavy equipment
- Diesel engines
- Braking systems
- Driveline including clutch, flywheel, transmissions, and differentials
- Steering mechanisms and suspensions
- Electrical & hydraulic systems
- Mechanical systems
- Welding, cutting and fabricating
- Preventative maintenance including changing oil, batteries, lubricating, etc.
- Requisitioning parts and securing any equipment or trucking needed to complete repair
- Utilizing tablet/laptop to update job notes daily
Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Heavy equipment repair training or equivalent experience
- Mechanically-inclined
- Computer skills
- Able to use hands to perform activities involving holding, grasping, turning and pulling
- Able to perform work on uneven surfaces, frequently climb ladders and on/off equipment, and work from various heights
- Able to work in conditions that include loud noise and fumes, work on and around heavy and moving machinery, bend, walk, stand and sit for extended periods of time and use hand tools
- Must be able to pass a background/credit check and drug screening
