The Marketing Activation organisation is undergoing a major digital transformation, aiming to build a unified Marketing Data Foundation that will operate as the single source of truth across Performance, Strategy, Acquisition, Organic Search, and CRM.
Responsibilities
- Build production-grade data pipelines, especially within the CRM domain
- Collaborate with Software Engineering, Architecture, and Product to co-create the Marketing Data Foundation
- Optimise GCP and BigQuery environments for large-scale datasets
- Lead advanced dbt modelling, including Semantic Layer setup
- Support ML and AI-readiness through structured data modelling
- Drive engineering excellence through mentorship, documentation, Git best practices and code reviews
- Help define and register Data Products aligned with Data Mesh guidelines
- Support the organisation during the Adobe Experience Platform transition
Required Skills & Experience
- Expert knowledge of GCP & BigQuery
- Proven experience developing automated ETL/ELT pipelines
- Strong mastery of Git, branching strategies, and CI/CD
- Expert-level dbt experience in large-scale environments
- Experience with Data Mesh concepts and data productisation
- Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple teams
- Experience preparing data for ML, LLMs, and agentic AI systems
- Awareness of Adobe Experience Platform
