ELEX SPECIALIST NAVIGATION SYSTEM (J00183783) Saudi Arabia
- Troubleshoots, performs shipboard repairs and tests navigational instruments including
- speed logs and wind measuring equipment, radio navigation and other electrical and
- electronic equipment as assigned,
- Removes, overhauls, installs and tests navigational equipment including speed logs
- and wind measuring equipment, radio navigation and other electrical and electronic
- equipment,
- Performs Planned Maintenance as scheduled and corrective maintenance works SRF
- level,
- Disassembles, repairs, adjusts, reassembles and tests navigational equipment
- including speed logs and wind measuring equipment, radio navigation and other
- electrical and electronic equipment for components re-issue,
- Provides technical assistance in areas involving interface or integration of
- equipment/systems,
- Transfers his knowledge of position related skills, duties and responsibilities to RSNF
- maintenance technicians through On Job Training,
EDUCATION
- High School (secondary school) graduate or equivalent education, completion of military or industrial training for the maintenance and repair of marine electrical and electronic
equipment devices and systems including specific courses of instruction on the
maintenance and repair of advanced stabilized gyrocompasses, inertial navigation system
and associated equipment.
EXPERIENCE
- Six (6) years experience as a Marine or Electronics Technician. Maintenance experience of
at least two (2) years with navigation systems, magnetic compass, gyrocompass CGM4,
inertial navigation system Sigma 40 and Octans, Loch LMN5, speed and distance
repeaters.
Experience may be military or industrial.
