Drilling Rig HSE Engineer /Safety Officer (JO015086) N'Djamena, N'Djamena, Chad

Role Purpose:
Coordinate and support the implementation of the Health, Safety, Security and Environment objective, plans and programs aligned with the company vision in order to ensure that the client has best HSSE parctise in place which are aligned with Operations Management System (OMS) requirements, local and international legislation.
To ensure KPP deliverables, MOS and MP Golden RUles are implemented throughtout the drilling campaign.
To provide the necessary HSSE suport for the BU in accordance with regulatory requirements.
To provide general HSSE support throughout the drilling campaign.
To collaborate with rig contractor HSE rep on managing day to day HSSE matters
To provide HSSE daily, weekly, and monthly report to MP HSSE team
To organize HSSE campaign and activities throughtout the drilling campaign.

Key Accountabilities:
Ensure compliance by all parties with relevant Malaysian regulatory and best industry practice requirements, and HSE Bridging Document and SIMOPS requirements
Communicate, track the progress and implementation of Drilling Campaign HSSE Plan
Conduct weekly hazard hubts and safety critical equipment (SCE) inspection
Record and submit details of work activities in Daily Drilling HSE Report
Review Daily Rig HSE report submitted by Rig Safety personnel prior to start of rig morning call
Attend morning supervisors meetings, daily rig morning calls, pre-tour meetings and evening supervisor meetings
Prepare presentation slides for the Fortnightly Operations HSE Engagement Meetings
Coordinate, schedule and review 3rd party contractor representative’s presentation material for Safety Moment and HSE Presentation respectively during Weekly Safety Meeting (WSM)
Monitor rig crew HSSE Training Matrix in collaboration
Implement, communicate, promote and display HSE Safety Alerts and Did You Know material on HSE Notice Board
Identify, list and propose Weekly HOC card finalists to Drilling Supervisor for the selection of three weekly best HOC cards
Develop and compile list of Weekly HOC card winners with description of recorded observations
Provide assistance and support in performing an incident investigation
Develop, monitor and conduct verification inspection of action items arising from HOC observation cards, management visit reports, and incident and inspection reports

Knowledge:
Diploma in Engineering, Sciences, Business Admin and OSH or an equivalent qualification with good knowledge of local and international legislation and regulations and best practice on HSE. A registered SHO with DOSH Malaysia is an added value.

Experience:
6years of experience in HSE.
4 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry in drilling activities.
2 years working for Production Sharing Contractors (PSCs) is preferred.
