MEGT, in partnership with the Australian Turf Club, is offering a Plant Mechanic Apprenticeship at the famous Royal Randwick Racecourse.

What you’ll do:

• Learn how to maintain and repair a variety of plant equipment and machinery.
• Gain hands-on experience with tools and machinery.
• Work outdoors in a lively environment, especially on race days.
• Receive training from experienced mechanics who will teach you everything you need to know.

What we’re looking for:

• A recent school leaver eager to start a trade
• Willing to learn and work safely
• Physically able to handle the job
• Motivated and ready to build a future

What you’ll get:

• Full-time paid apprenticeship
• A steady 38-hour week, Monday to Friday, with some overtime and weekend work on race days
• All safety gear provided
• Onsite parking and easy access to public transport
• Support and mentoring from qualified tradespeople
