Due to consistent growth through acquisition as well as well as ongoing organic growth a new position has been made available. They are looking for a dynamic Payroll Accountant to join them at their corporate head office where you will become a valuable member of the corporate finance team. This role also provides the right Payroll Accountant with opportunities to grow within this successful multinational company.

 The Job

 This Payroll Accountant will report to the Corporate Finance Manager and will be part of the greater corporate finance team. As the Payroll Accountant you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet for all payroll related accounting and will take ownership of all transactions relating to the Payroll Accounting function as well as provide timely and accurate reconciliations. You will also be responsible for reporting and providing information to the various divisions. A big part of the Payroll Accountant role will be responsibility for payroll accounting including general ledger reconciliations, monthly payroll journals and payroll reporting at month end. This Payroll Accountant will also be responsible for payroll tax & FBT submissions, superannuation calculations and week to week manual leave deductions. In addition to the general Payroll Accounting duties, this Payroll Accountant will play a key role in adhoc projects. Through their extensive accounting and payroll experience, the Payroll Accountant will be expected to identify areas for process review and propose related continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidate Profile

 You are currently a Financial Accountant or a Payroll Accountant with solid experience in the main aspects of payroll accounting. You have intermediate level of skill in Excel and feel comfortable navigating payroll systems. You consider yourself a strong team player and your verbal and written communication skills are your strengths.
