Sugarman Health and Wellbeing are currently seeking a Care Assistant to provide care and support to a Male Service User with C2 Spinal Injury. We are recruiting for a carer who is able to work alongside animals.

  • Shifts Available: 0700-1900 Days & 1900-0700 Nights

Main Responsibilities of a Health Care Assistant

  • Support a client with a spinal injury, tracheostomy and ventilator
  • Flexible in working both days and nights over a 4 weekly rota period
  • Support them with their full time job. Making and answering telephone calls, writing emails, letters, diary organising and taking notes in meetings (ability to use apple devices)
  • Moving and Handling
  • Personal Care
  • Prepping and cooking meals
  • Supporting and maintaining all clinical needs
  • Supporting with organising and attending holidays abroad and creating itineraries

Experience/Skills Required for this Health Care Assistant role:

  • Minimum 1 years experience in care
  • Willingness to undertake online and practical training
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to handle clinical care in the community
  • Attention to detail
  • Positive attitude
