Registered Nurse – Southern NSW – March/April onwards



ED, ICU, Medical, Surgical

Looking to work in a close-knit regional community over the summer period with excellent support and access to Southern NSW’s stunning coastlines, rivers, and hinterland?

We are seeking committed Registered Nurses for short- to medium-term contracts across Emergency, Medical, and Surgical wards in hospitals throughout Southern NSW, including Nowra, Batemans Bay, Moruya, Bega, Cooma, and surrounding towns.

These regional hospitals provide essential healthcare services across the community, including:

  • Emergency Departments with high-acuity, hands-on care
  • Medical, Surgical, and ICU wards with diverse patient presentations

Each site offers a friendly, professional environment with strong multidisciplinary teams and opportunities to develop rural and regional nursing experience.




Examples of sites:

  • Nowra: Busy regional hospital with ED, ICU, and medical & surgical wards, close to beaches and cafes
  • Batemans Bay: Coastal hospital with ED and general wards, river and beach activities nearby
  • Moruya: Small rural hospital, hands-on generalist nursing, relaxing riverside town
  • Bega: Regional hospital with ED & ward roles, access to hinterland national parks and rivers
  • Cooma: Rural hub with ICU and ward experience, gateway to Snowy Mountains and outdoor adventures

Requirements:

  • Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Recent acute experience in ED, ICU, Medical, or Surgical wards
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
  • Commitment to patient-centred, culturally safe care
  • Flexible, adaptable, and ready to embrace regional nursing challenges
