About the Opportunity

The Hunter New England (HNE) region is currently offering a strong pipeline of acute RN contracts across multiple hospital sites.

With hospital budgets tightening, now is the ideal time to secure placement while ward-based roles remain available across medical and surgical units.

These roles offer a unique opportunity to work across diverse regional facilities while experiencing some of NSW’s most beautiful coastal, country, and high-country locations.



Available Locations & Sites

Manning Base Hospital – Taree

A busy regional hospital servicing the Manning Valley, offering a full mix of acute services including medical, surgical, ICU, CCU, maternity, paediatrics and palliative care.

Strong patient flow and varied clinical presentations.

Must have own car – no onsite accommodation (local motels used)



Tamworth Base Hospital

A large regional referral hospital with broad specialty services including ED, ICU, HDU, medical, surgical, maternity, paediatrics and orthopaedics.

Known for strong clinical support and a vibrant regional community lifestyle with plenty to explore.



Armidale Hospital

A smaller, well-supported regional facility in the New England High Country.

Offers medical, surgical, paediatric and emergency services with a close-knit team environment and strong multidisciplinary collaboration.



Moree Hospital

A rural hospital servicing the north-west plains of NSW.

Provides a mix of acute ward and emergency presentations with strong exposure to rural and generalist nursing practice.



Gunnedah Hospital

A smaller rural facility offering general medical ward experience in a supportive team setting. Ideal for nurses looking for a quieter regional pace with broad clinical exposure.



Inverell Hospital

A rural hospital providing acute and subacute care services including medical, surgical and emergency presentations.

Strong community focus with a collaborative team environment.



Contract Highlights

• Up to $2,199.56 per week + penalties + super + loading
• Travel provided

Requirements

• Current AHPRA Registration
• 3+ years Acute hospital experience (Medical or Surgical preferred)
• Ability to work across regional/rural settings
• Driver’s licence required for selected locations (e.g. Taree)
