We are honored to have been selected by a premier custom millwork firm to support their search for a Cabinet Finisher. Qualified candidates for this position will be responsible for applying high-quality finishes to custom cabinetry. Below are more details for this exciting role!
 
Job Title: Cabinet Finisher
Job Type: Full-time/Direct Hire
Shift: Days 
Pay: $25 - $30 hour pending experience

Responsibilities:

• Surface Preparation: Sand, fill, and repair surfaces to ensure a flawless finish.
• Finish Application: Skillfully apply stains, paints, and specialty finishes to custom cabinets.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished products to confirm they meet quality standards and align with design specifications.
• Equipment Maintenance: Regularly clean and maintain all finishing tools and equipment to ensure they are operating at peak performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with fellow cabinet makers, designers, and other team members to maintain a smooth, efficient workflow.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous  2yrs experience in cabinet finishing, furniture finishing, or automotive paint spraying is preferred.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for precision and a commitment to delivering top-tier results.
• Team-Oriented: Collaborative and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in the application of various finishes (stains, paints, and specialty coatings) and strong understanding of wood types and their interactions with different finishes.
