Supply Chain Coordinator

Location: Derby

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Supply Chain Coordinator to join our busy Supply Chain team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has strong administrative, logistics, and supplier management skills.

Supporting the Supply Chain, Planning, and Buying teams, you will play a key role in coordinating inbound and outbound logistics, managing supplier communications, monitoring purchase orders, and ensuring stock and supply chain processes run efficiently across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain & Logistics

• Coordinate internal booking processes with hauliers, suppliers, and depots.
• Manage inbound and outbound deliveries to ensure goods arrive on time and in full.
• Process and maintain purchase order requests (PORs) and monitor delivery schedules.
• Manage supplier non-arrival and shortage reports across all depots.
• Coordinate contract beef allocations in line with business requirements.
• Manage missing CMRs and dispatch documentation for operational accounts.

Supplier & Performance Management

• Liaise with suppliers to ensure orders are fulfilled and delivered as required.
• Maintain supplier quotations within the company's MRP system.
• Collate and prepare supplier performance data and reports for the Buying team.
• Support departments with claims management, short weights, and contract confirmations.
• Maintain specification and non-conformance records.

Stock & Equipment Control

• Manage and reconcile returnable equipment across all depots.
• Oversee Tosca returnable tray stock management.
• Support stock control activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency throughout the supply chain.
• Work closely with the Supply Chain Stock Control Team Leader to promote a positive and solutions-focused team culture.

Additional Duties

• Coordinate blast freezing and tempering requirements to support operational needs.
• Book cold store intakes onto the MRP system and maintain accurate records for audit purposes.
• Analyse supplier traceability information for contract beef deliveries.
• Manage cold store releases and update stock transfers within the MRP system.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive and flexible approach to work.

Desirable

• Previous experience in a supply chain, logistics, stock control, purchasing, or planning role.
• Experience using MRP or ERP systems.
