SYSTEM COMPLETION AND HANDOVER LEADER ( NUCLEAR) (040311) Finland

Scope (including main skills):

The System Preparation Group (SPG) was created to ensure the handover of elementary systems from the Construction Organization to the Commissioning Organization, and to the Operations (IOI) organization.

System Preparation Group is involved in all Nuclear Island system transfer.

System Preparation Group is in charge to coordinate the progress of specific technical topics with complicated or multi-party interfaces leading to the completion of systems selected by the Project through Readiness Assessment Reviews. he System Preparation Group is in charge to prepare, to lead and to track associated actions. The calendar of Readiness Assessment Reviews is owned by the System Preparation Group.

Core team is constituted of system leaders.

Main tasks of system leaders are to coordinate the completion of required tasks in due time to ensure (sub)-system completion and handover to the Commissioning start-up sequence needs or the Operations organization needs.

To support identification and tracking of all actions to be completed (Engineering / Procurement / Construction / Commissioning) before transferring the System.

To supervise the transfer process between Construction and Commissioning, according Commissioning Procedure and between the Commissioning Organization and the Operations (IOI) organization according Commissioning Procedure.

Based on the different existing databases, excel follow up per discipline (EM package, commissioning follow up) and List of Open Points (LOP), the System Preparation Group is in charge to consolidate related information and to define the progress of each system for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.

The system leader verifies that above mentioned tasks are well addressed in the project time schedule. In case of deviation to the expected progress, she/he is entitled to determine action plans and to define priorities and project instructions for construction, procurement and / or engineering in order to recover a steady situation.

In order to track the progress of her/his system the system leader is accountable to organize periodic reviews based on:

• Remaining to be done

• List of open points

• Schedule (installation completion / closure of open points / commissioning activities…)

Engineering / Procurement / Construction and Commissioning representatives should participate to these reviews. During these reviews, completion actions are defined and then tracked by the corresponding system leader in a recorded dashboard.

The system leader is in charge to:

• Prepare the documentation part of the transfer.

• Supervise the preparation.

• Organize inspections not ready at the time of the transfer

• Prepare the List of Open Points

In order to secure the preparation of the transfer, System leaders will prepare specific documents tracking lists.

The system leader is in charge of the overall Open Points management. It means mainly:

• Definition of governance rules for open points

• Database management with the support of Methods & Tools

• Cleaning management

• Screening

• Coordinate transforming open points into planned production and closure tracking (scheduling)

• Transverse analysis and workshops animation for specific technical topics

Open points management will be organized together with our customer and The Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority.

Risks management, the system leader, through her/his participation to the risks management periodic reviews, will be in charge to highlight potential new risks to be indicated in the Risk Register and to update the existing ones with status of implemented measures.

 

The Interfaces with quality, quality / Inspection will assist the system leader for following tasks:

• Close open points before transfer

• Support the preparation of files with respect to Quality requirements

 

The system leader will cooperate with the Owner on the following items:

• Commissioning / Operations (IOI) organization, Readiness Review

• KOT inspection preparation and performance

• Cooperation regarding files completion (compilation of documents)

• Open Points management

 

• Specific technical points treatment

 

General and technical background expected:

 Engineer degree.

 5 years experience in operating nuclear power plant support. (Design, Construction, or Commissioning / PWR experience strongly preferred)

Skills required:

 Good organizational and communication skills.

 Strong skills in the use of MircoSoft Office suite and particularly Excel. Experience with data analysis, Access and/or Excel knowledge on (at least) intermediate level.

 Ability to coordinate interfaces across organization, company, cultural boundaries

 Engineer Degree in Engineering, I&C, process system or electrical.

 Experience from commissioning performance and/or preparation

 At least 2 years field experience in nuclear power plant or preliminary working period within nuclear project.

 PWR technology knowledge and EPR technology.

 System design experience would be a plus.

 Document writing capacity.

 Versatile, Adaptable, Rigorous, Good interpersonal skills, Client & results oriented, attention to detail.
