Student Recruitment Manager-South Asia Delhi, India
Overview and Objective of the Position
The Student Recruitment Manager plays a significant role in driving growth from India, Sri Lanka and surrounding regions and achieving student recruitment targets for Western Sydney International College (WSUIC), Western Sydney University, Sydney City Campus (SCC) and Sydney Institute of Business and Technology (SIBT). Working closely with Western Sydney University colleagues, and the Navitas regional recruitment team, this position will be the in-country lead responsible for on-the-ground sales activities including, but not limited to, training, events, student conversion and troubleshooting. This requires the SSRM to work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders across the region to drive long-term growth for the colleges in the market.
The person we seek will ideally have the following
- Lead and coordinate WSUIC, SCC, SIBT’s market development initiatives across the region to deliver long term, sustainable student
- Deliver sales growth through collaboration and achieve student recruitment targets;
- Deliver market intelligence and accurate sales forecasts via regular and detailed reports;
- Engage and work in partnership with key University and Navitas associates to ensure optimized recruitment strategies and ensure all marketing activities comply with ethical and legal standards
- Through networks and business development activities, collaborate with key stakeholders to identify market opportunities for WSUIC, SCC, and SIBT’s products and services and assist in the development of those products to most effectively target the market;
- Contribute to an effective, proactive team-based culture;
- Review and assess employee performance and provide appropriate coaching and training when relevant;
- Travel to relevant fairs, exhibitions, conferences, and client meetings, assisting with team members’ client meetings as required;
- Be diligent in documenting all commercial activities onto the CRM
Knowledge,Skills and Experience Desirable Criteria
- A proven track record of success in international student recruitment within a commercial education business e.g. pathways, languages, private universities;
- Demonstrable experience of contributing to the development and implementation of high impact marketing campaigns that drive profitable sales growth against the target;
- Excellent understanding of the complexities of operating in a variety of international markets;
- Strong, demonstrated relationship management skills, ideally within the Higher Education; sector or a related industry that involves complex, aspirational services through a multi-channel approach;
- A strong understanding of the India market together with an understanding of the wider region;
Essential Criteria
- A university degree, preferably in Business, Marketing or a related discipline;
- An understanding of the Australasian higher education sector and experience of driving student numbers from India to Australia;
- A proven track record of success in international student recruitment for an international education business;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in dealing directly with a wide variety of people including students, parents and
- A strong understanding of the region’s cultures and a proven track record of being able to drive commercial success across the region;
- Highly commercial, dynamic, target-oriented, and result-driven;
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
