Position: Marine Application Engineer 

(We would also consider applicants currently working as Application Engineers, Master Technicians, Senior/Lead Engineers, Field Engineers, Marine Engineers, Marine Engine/Outboard Service/Maintenance Engineer, or in a similar role provided you have experience of working in the Marine Industry).

Location: Coventry, West Midlands (must be available to travel to customer locations). 

Salary: Approx £50,000 - £60,000 + company benefits (depending on the level of Marine Engineering experience).  

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marine Application Engineer to join our business on a permanent basis. As the Marine Application Engineer you will work with existing and potential customers to define the functional needs of their application/product and match them with our technology, throughout your area of geographic or category responsibility.

You will support the sales operation in identifying and engaging prospective customers, with focus on providing product and technology solutions to meet customer needs.

Key skills and experience required for the Marine Application Engineer vacancy:

• Experience working in the marine industry preferably as a marine engineer or technician working on engine or outboard technology. 
• Ability to understand technical issues and how to resolve them.
• Customer/market focused approach with result's orientated, 'can do' attitude.
• Ability to communicate externally & internally at all levels, with focus on technical items.
• Always provide industry leading customer service.
• Commercial acumen to assess and analyse market & customer potential.
• Marine outboard service management experience would be a real advantage.
• Previous new product launch experience preferred.
• Worked in a Small, Medium Enterprise (SME) and can demonstrate the ability to roll their sleeves up and personally get things done as part of a small team.
• Willingness to travel Europe-wide and, when necessary, globally.
• High level of IT and technology skills to allow data analysis and effective communication of results.
• Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electronics Engineering Degree or HND preferred.
• Evidence of other formal qualifications & training to demonstrate high technical competence in mechanical and electronic engineering and maintenance.
