Position: Furniture Assembler

Location: Oldbury, Birmingham

Hours of work: 40 – 50 hours per week

Salary: £12.00 - £15.00 per hour (With lots of overtime available) – Can go higher depending on experience

A Furniture Assembler is required for a growing manufacturer, and supplier of bespoke furniture for the hospitality and retail sector. Our client work with a variety of well-known brands across the UK with many products tailor made specifically to the client’s requirements. We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to join their team.

The position of Furniture Assembler will include:

• Assembling furniture for a range of clients within the hospitality sector.
• Pre-assemble some of these products in the warehouse before dispatch.
• Working with colleagues to load up a Luton Van with flat pack, and part assembled products, and drive the Van to clients location.
• Many of the customers are based in London and you will be expected to drive to customer sites 2 or 3 times per week.
• Once you arrive at customer site, off load and complete final assembly and installation.
• A driving licence is essential as you will driving the van to customer sites.

The assembly is not overly technical, with some products such as tables requiring four screws to attach the table top to the legs. If you are a Joiner/Carpenter then this would be ideal as it will enable quicker assembly however someone who is a DIYer, or practically minded will be able to fulfil the requirement of this position.

 The suitable candidate for Furniture Assembler will need to possess the following skills and experience:

• Hardworking and conscientious.
• Practical and confident to assembly tables, chairs, benches etc. Specific product training will be provided.
• Full and clean driving licence, and happy to drive the company van to customer sites - Essential
• Team player and enjoys working as part of a small team.
• Good customer service as you will be representing the company when attending customer sites.
