Position: Sales Engineer, Oxford 

Salary:  £40,000 - £45,000 + company benefits

We are keen to hear from Commercial/Sales Engineers, Pre-Sales Engineers, Proposals Engineers, and Estimators, or applicants with relevant industry experience (Industrial Automation Systems, System Integration, Automated Warehouse/Logistics Solutions, Solution Sales, Technical/Concept Sales).

Industry Experience: We welcome applicants with experience from any of the following areas: System Integration, Special Purpose Machinery, AGV/AIV, Industrial Lifting Solutions, Material Handling Solutions, Warehouse Automation, Automated Logistics Solutions, High Speed Automated Machinery (Packaging Machines, Bagging Machinery, Wrapping Machines, End of Line Machinery, Automated or Robotic Palletizing Solutions), Robotics, Bespoke Conveyor/Material Handling Systems, Intralogistics)

Working closely with existing and potential customers the Sales Engineer will carry out analysis and interpretation of Customers requirements. Converting this analysis into concept drawings and to produce technical documentation, pricing, etc. to support the concept. To engage with colleagues, peers and customers as necessary to establish and prove the concept

Key responsibilities as the Sales Engineer:

• Analysing and interpreting data
• Conceptualising solutions
• Producing both 2D and 3D drawings of concepts
• To manage tender process of 3rd party equipment:
• Issuing drawings, specifications and program to preferred suppliers
• Co-ordinating 3rd party questions, meetings, site visits, etc
• Providing summary of costs, program, specification
• To participate in the production and presentation of: Tender documentation, budget pricing, customer presentations and workshops

Qualifications, skills and experience

• HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
• Formal CAD qualification or prior experience using CAD in a professional capacity
• Experience and knowledge of automation equipment would be highly beneficial
• Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills
• Computer literate, confident using all Microsoft Packages
• Ability to work autonomously and manage workload
• Effective decision maker and excellent team player
