The Overview

We’re partnering with a leading national organisation to recruit an experienced Workday Consultant to join their HR & People Systems team. This role will focus on optimising Workday HCM and Payroll modules, delivering insightful reporting, and ensuring system configurations support business objectives. You’ll collaborate closely with HR, Payroll, IT, and external vendors as part of a dynamic and supportive team.

What You’ll Do

  • Implement, configure, and maintain Workday HCM and Payroll modules.
  • Lead configuration activities across Workday functional areas (Comp, Absence, Recruitment, Core HCM, and Payroll).
  • Support Workday upgrades, integrations, testing cycles, and system enhancements.
  • Analyse, extract, and reconcile HR and payroll data for accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop, automate, and deliver reports and dashboards using Workday reporting tools and Excel.
  • Provide end-user support, training, and documentation, including SOPs and user guides.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for system and process improvements.
  • Ensure data integrity and alignment with HR and payroll legislative requirements.

What They’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Workday Consultant, HRIS Analyst, or similar role within HR, Payroll, or People Operations.
  • Hands-on Workday configuration experience is essential across one or more functional modules.
  • Strong skills in Workday reporting, calculated fields, and integrations (EIB, PECI, or similar).
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, dashboards) and experience with Workday or SQL reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of HR and payroll processes, including legislative compliance.
  • Excellent analytical ability, problem-solving capability, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across HR, Payroll, and IT.
