The Overview
We’re partnering with a leading national organisation on the lookout for an experienced Time & Attendance and Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic People & Culture team. This role has a strong focus on system administration and optimisation, ensuring that T&A and payroll platforms operate efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with relevant legislation and enterprise agreements. You’ll play a key part in maintaining and enhancing the organisation’s payroll and timekeeping systems, while also supporting the accurate and timely delivery of payroll. It’s a dual-focus opportunity, ideal for someone who thrives on the technical and analytical side of T&A systems, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about improving processes that drive efficiency, accuracy, and a great employee experience.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain and enhance payroll and timekeeping systems (MyWorkplace, ADP Payforce).
- Configure, test, and validate system updates, integrations, and enhancements.
- Manage user access, training, and self-service resources.
- Ensure payroll and systems comply with legislation, enterprise agreements, and company policy.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve compliance.
- Process end-to-end payroll for salaried, award, and enterprise agreement employees.
- Liaise with sites, vendors, and stakeholders to finalise payroll inputs and outputs.
- Administer payroll tax, superannuation, PAYG, and WorkCover obligations.
- Perform reconciliations and variance reporting to support pay-run approvals.
What They’re Looking For
- Strong system administration background across payroll, timekeeping, or HRIS platforms.
- Proven experience in payroll processing.
- Strong Award and EBA interpretation.
- In-depth understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including PAYG, super, and payroll tax.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- High attention to detail and a strong compliance mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Continuous improvement experience and problem-solving capability.
