About the Company:

We are partnering with a global advisory firm to recruit an experienced Payroll Accountant to join their growing Payroll and Employment Tax team in Sydney.
This team works across multiple clients to remediate payroll and employment tax data, reconcile discrepancies, and provide advisory insights to improve payroll and compliance processes. You’ll be part of a highly professional, fast-paced environment where your work directly contributes to client outcomes, including system reviews, compliance audits, and payroll transformations.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on, advisory-focused role where payroll and employment tax expertise is key. You will help clients identify and resolve payroll and tax issues, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and smooth system operations.

  • Analyse payroll and employment tax data to identify errors, gaps, and compliance risks
  • Remediate and reconcile payroll and tax discrepancies across multiple clients
  • Review superannuation, tax, and payroll calculations for accuracy
  • Prepare clear, client-ready reports and recommendations
  • Support payroll and HRIS system reviews, configuration checks, and best practice guidance
  • Work across multiple payroll/HRIS systems, including Workday, SAP, and Aurion
  • Partner with internal teams and clients to deliver advisory and remediation outcomes
  • Contribute to project delivery, process improvements, and data integrity initiatives

Skills and Experience:

  • Solid background in payroll analysis, remediation, or payroll advisory
  • Strong understanding of employment tax, superannuation, and payroll compliance
  • Proven experience reconciling payroll data and remediating discrepancies
  • Exposure to multiple payroll/HRIS systems and system advisory work
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident in client-facing discussions
  • Professional services or consulting experience is highly regarded
