About the opportunity

The Medical Science Liaison is classified as a hybrid role, predominately customer-facing using a mix of face-to-face & virtual.  The role is then combined with office-based medical activities which does offer some flexibility depending on business needs.  Directly reporting to Senior Medical Manager, the role is responsible for supporting the medical and scientific position of Reproductive Medicine and Maternal Health initiatives via: Research, Education and Sales/Marketing support.

 

Duties

  • Maintaining a high level of scientific and technical expertise in therapeutic area of Women’s Health. Requiring you to develop and increase knowledge of medical literature.
  • Prepare and present critical reviews of scientific publications and congresses, internally and externally. 
  • Providing high quality medical and scientific support and communications to internal and external customers: advisory board meetings, regional training courses/workshops, developing and managing key and regional external experts, supports speakers with presentations and literature research.
  • Developing, maintaining, and delivering internal training and education in Women’s Heath products and therapy areas for sales, medical and marketing colleagues.
  • Assist therapeutic area medical affairs leads ensuring  proposals are aligned with medical objectives locally and globally.

 

 

Skills and Experience

  • University Degree (BSc) (natural sciences or medical)
  • Significant related pharmaceutical industry experience in one or more related therapeutic fields
  • Medicines Australia Code of Conduct competent
  • Demonstrated skills in medical research, analysis, problem solving, communication, planning, and implementation
  • Strong computer skills/ proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Highly competent in Good Clinical Practice
