Position: First Nations Business Traineeship
This is a contract opportunity: 12 months full-time | Paid Traineeship | Certificate III in Business

This is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Identified role. About the Company:

MEGT is partnering with a Nationwide Client in the Finance/Business sector, to offer an exciting 12-month First Nations Business Traineeship! Are you a motivated and customer-focused individual ready to start your professional journey in the world of finance and business? Working in a corporate environment, with daily support and mentorship, this will give you the chance to learn the ins and outs of Business and Finance, while working towards a nationally recognised qualification!

About the role:

As a First Nations Business Trainee your duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Deliver exceptional customer service via phone, email and face to face
  • Engage in needs-based conversations and educating customers on several aspects of finance
  • Build Rapport and credibility with customers, Clearly articulate digital options available for customers, resolving initial enquiries and directing matters to internal stakeholders if required
  • Work in a busy call center environment answering calls, digital filing, data entry and maintaining internal database systems

What We're Looking For

  • Strong verbal communication and a professional phone manner, with high attention to detail, ability to multi task and have great problem-solving skills
  • A team player who takes initiative and direction well, has an enthusiastic attitude, is punctual, reliable and committed to learning
  • Previous customer service, administrative/reception, or data entry experience
  • Tech savvy, proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel and eager to learn new IT systems (is a MUST)
  • Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (is a MUST)
  • Ability to pass a National Police Check prior to employment (is a MUST)
