About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Medical Receptionist Trainee to join our busy practice located at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital. This is a full-time traineeship, where you will gain hands-on experience while completing a Certificate III in Business.

This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily use of Shexie practice management software (training provided)
• Reception duties including answering phones and booking appointments
• Providing patients with admission and procedure preparation information
• Sending documentation and correspondence to patients
• Coordinating consulting clinics and assisting with financial transactions
• Maintaining a clean, welcoming, and organised reception area

• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Ability to multitask while remaining calm and professional
• A reliable and punctual team player
• Good computer skills and confidence learning new systems
