People and Culture Manager

East London | £55,000 | Onsite with some flexibility

Some hospitality HR roles give you the chance to make a real difference to how people feel at work. This is one of them.

We are looking for a People and Culture Manager to join a four-star hotel in East London. You’ll be part of the day-to-day life of the hotel, getting to know its people, supporting its managers and helping to create a place where colleagues feel valued and want to stay.

It’s a role with plenty of variety. One day you might be helping a manager find the right person for their team; the next, working through a sensitive people matter or exploring an idea that could make working life better. You’ll have the space to use your judgement, build strong relationships and bring your own ideas to the table.

What you’ll be doing

• Working closely with managers on recruitment, employee relations and everyday people decisions.
• Getting to know teams across the hotel and understanding what support they need.
• Helping managers create a positive experience for colleagues, from joining through to growing in their roles.
• Looking for practical ways to improve engagement and help retain great people.
• Taking ownership of your work while having a genuine voice in how the people approach develops.

Hotel HR experience is what the client wants to see. They know that understanding the pace, pressures and people side of a hotel makes a difference in this role. They’re also open to hearing from HR professionals who have worked in luxury restaurants and can bring that same feel for hospitality.

You’ll enjoy being visible, approachable and close to the operation. You’ll be confident working independently, but just as comfortable collaborating with managers and finding a thoughtful balance between what the business needs and what’s right for its people.
