We’re recruiting on behalf of our client for a number of experienced Welders to join their skilled team for on-going temporary projects. This role involves welding aluminium and other metals to specification, ensuring high standards of safety, accuracy, and quality are met at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings to carry out welding tasks to spec
- Perform MIG/TIG welding on aluminium and metal components
- Inspect welded joints and surfaces to identify defects or faults
- Set up welding equipment and monitor temperatures during operation
- Ensure all work meets legal, safety, and company quality standards
- Operate machinery and tools in line with safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Follow all H&S and PPE protocols, including COSHH and manual handling guidance
About You:
- Previous experience in a welding role is essential
- Confident in MIG/TIG welding techniques and using manual tools
- Able to interpret technical drawings and welding specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- A team player with a good work ethic and willingness to support others
- Good communication and basic IT skills
- Welding certification (AWS or equivalent) is desirable
- Full UK driving licence preferred
