EME, HIRF & LIGHTNING ENGINEER (BBBH13723) Zürich, Switzerland


My client is currently developing a new-generation single-turbine helicopter, delivering high performance and offering the largest cabin in its class.
It is looking for:

Role: EME, HIRF & Lightning Engineer
Pay: To be defined on the basis of experience
Location: Zurich - Switzerland
Contract: Contractor, until June 2023

Main Responsibilities


· Develop and support the design for the EME, HIRF & Lightning Type Certification, including architecture, design and implementation
· Develop and resolve technical issues supporting the certification approach, in a practical and timely manner
· Provide and support technical liaison between engineering and other non-engineering functional groups for EME, HIRF & Lightning subjects
· Advising on how to resolve technical problems that would affect cost, schedule and aircraft systems performance
· Support EME, HIRF & Lightning technical guidance across the multi-disciplinary teams

Tasks


· Authoring and/or reviewing documents with EME, HIRF & Lightning considerations
· Contribute and support airworthiness verification for EME, HIRF and Lightning design
· Contribute and review technical specifications and technical reports in all EME, HIRF & Lightning subject matter
· Provide guidance and support in EME, HIRF & Lightning to Kopter engineering professionals
· Working closely with Kopter Team Leader - EME, Harness and Electrical Installation
· Support M&P department for aircraft electrical bonding network

Qualifications


· Strong background in EME, Harness and Electrical Systems development, at least 15 years of experience in EME, HIRF & Lightning development for rotary and/or fixed wing aircraft
· Hold a university degree in at least one of the following: Physics, or EME, HIRF & Lightning or Aerospace engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
· Experience in EME, HIRF & Lightning compliance discussions with EASA and/or FAA to conclude the certification process and requirements of CS-27 (experience with CS-29 accepted)
· Experience in development through the product life cycle providing technical support for EME, HIRF & Lightning products / projects
