My client is the world’s leading supplier of aircraft transparencies serving worldwide Commercial, Military and General Aviation markets.
They are looking for a:
Role: Design and Process Engineer - Aerospace
Pay: to be defined on the basis of experience
Location: Crema (CR) - Italy
Contract: Permanent
As a Design and Process Engineer you will oversee the design and implementation of our company product and processes. You will be responsible for optimizing the current design and processes, for developing and implementing design and process strategies. You will work with the Production Manager and Manufacturing Engineering to assess existing processes.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Support the engineering design of new and existing Aerospace Transparencies products delivered
- Support product testing and performance evaluations to assure that products and transparency programs meet standard expectations
- Ensure new product development respects EHS and environment requirements
- Manage technical communications to customers and to government regulatory agencies and authorities providing documentation and presentation of test reports.
- Develop Technical Proposals, Design outputs like Qualification Test Plans, Acceptance Test Procedures, Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, information on processes and on methods of manufacture and assembly of the product and Engineering Drawings.
- Establish relationships with customer counterparts during the development of new products or in the analysis and redesign of existing products for the resolution of problems, service life improvements or cost reduction
- Actively participate in the New Product Introduction process and Technical Reviews and Management Gate Reviews and will be a key contributor in the engineering review board (ERB) and material review board (MRB) processes
- Designing and testing process upgrades and new process systems
- Providing the Manufacturing Engineering with process documents and standard operating procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3-5 of experience as a Design Engineer or similar
- Mechanical, aeronautical or automotive design background
- Understanding of structural mechanics, analysis of aircraft flight loads (or automotive or mechanical loads and the Finite Element Method)
- Degree in Aerospace, Aviation or Mechanical engineering or similar
- Proficiency with Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Software, CAD and CATIA
- Good English (B2)
