We are seeking a Data Engineer / Cloud Specialist to join a leading energy trading company undergoing a major digital transformation. This role is critical in leveraging advanced technologies to strengthen competitiveness in a rapidly evolving energy market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data utilization strategies to enhance trading operations, including productivity improvements and transaction volume growth.
• Develop and optimize data platforms and machine learning models using Azure services and Databricks, including Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives.
• Drive integration of advanced technologies such as Generative AI into business processes.
• Translate technical solutions into actionable insights aligned with business strategy and mid-term management plans.
• Ensure robust data governance and operational excellence across new and existing systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong interest and proactive approach to data analytics and emerging technologies.
• Practical experience in Python and SQL programming for data processing and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, Databricks, and data pipeline development.
• Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and lead projects from planning to maintenance.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes, BI tools (Tableau, Power BI), and large-scale data handling.

Preferred:

• Experience with machine learning models, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Knowledge of DevOps/MLOps/DataOps concepts.
• Background in energy trading, finance, or related industries.
• Japanese language proficiency for stakeholder communication.
