IT Infrastructure Team Lead - Compute (BBBH8086) Sydney, Australia
About the role;
The Team Lead - Compute, develops and supports the organisation’s computing infrastructure (both on-premises and cloud-hosted) and applications as well as makes plans for continual improvement of both traditional enterprise server infrastructure and high-performance computing across the organisation by collaborating with the team
Day to day responsibilities include;
- Supporting the development of the organisation’s cloud strategy, aligning with the organisation’s business objectives
- Meets KPI's for infrastructure, user experience, applications, storage and servers
- Coordinating external providers such as Azure & AWS, responsible for delivering hosting services to the organisation for platforms
- Develop and defines system procedures and processes to evolve with the technology in the organisation
- Ensuring that applications and infrastructure follow the organisation’s cybersecurity procedures and processes
- Remote and onsite integration and continuing administration of physical and virtual data centres
Experience required;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in team leadership/ management positions within an IT Infrastructure environment
- Proven experience with cloud-based services and infrastructure e.g. Azure & AWS
- Experience advising on best practice guidelines for migration of services to cloud
- Support software from vendors across IT Domains
- 5 years’ experience supporting an integrated Linux/ MS Windows/ Intel architecture
- Strong C level stakeholder engagement and excellent written and verbal presentation skills
- Solution focused and pro-actively deals with situations
