Gi Pro are recruiting for a BIM Information Manager in Leeds based, public sector client. Our client is looking for a BIM information manager to hire on a permanent basis to play a key part in one of the biggest and most exciting investment programmes in Leeds and the wider region.

Purpose of the role –

The role of the BIM information manager will support the delivery of the building the Leeds way (BTLW) programme. This position is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of something that will make a real difference.

The client aims for the new sites to be ‘digital by design’. This means that the digital capabilities will be built into fabric of ‘smart’ building and infrastructure to support more effect ways of working that provide the best experience for its users.

To enable this, building information modelling will be an integral part of these developments to capture key building information arising from the design and build for use in managing the future operation of the building

Duties and responsibilities –

• The BIM information manager will act as a subject matter expert and day to day
lead on BIM.
• Supporting the development and adoption of BIM approaches and implementation
of BIM standards and processes in accordance with the UK BIM Framework
• Understand the ISO standard 19650 (Organisation and digitisation of information
about buildings and civil engineering works
• Co-ordinating the receipt, assurance and the uploading of BIM data and
information to a common data environment
• Ensuring you are meeting the client’s governance and operational requirements
• Reporting on progress and issues arising

Skills and attributes –

• Experience, relevant and knowledge of construction and design, property
management, project delivery and associated technologies and processes.
• Good knowledge of ISO 19650
• Skills and knowledge of general ICT skills (Microsoft office suite)
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work confidently and constructively with colleagues at multiple levels

Relevant experience and desirable requirements -

• Knowledge of CAFM ( eg EAMS)
• Experience working with national BIM standards
• Understanding and experience of applying appropriate national and international
standards related to management and BIM ( eg COBie, Uniclass, NBS, GUI,API)
• Knowledge and experience of specialist BIM (eg Autodesk suite, ArchiCAD, Solibri,
Trimble suite, Bentley suite)
