Role Overview
Reporting to Financial Controller, as the Financial Accountant, you will be part of a small finance team. In your role, you will be supporting the Finance Manager in all month end related tasks including weekly and monthly management reporting and month end close activities. On a day-to-day basis this will include processing journals, preparing balance sheet reconciliations and conducting daily bank reconciliations. In addition, as the Financial Accountant you will have the responsibility to maintain the fixed asset register and lodgement of BAS and FBT.
Experience from an inventory / manufacturing based environment essential for the successful candidate.
Responsibilities
- End of month processing and close
- Balance sheet reconciliation (3 day close)
- Processing journals and accruals
- Weekly and monthly management reporting
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Maintain the Fixed Assets Register
- Inventory reconciliations and analysis
Candidate Profile
You are a fully qualified CA/CPA with extensive experience as a Financial Accountant. You are strong with Excel and have used Power BI to create insightful reports. You are a natural business partner who thrives on driving value and efficiency within processes and reporting. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic that you are extremely proud of.
