Field Service Engineer (Industrial Equipment) – Gloucestershire (Cheltenham HQ) + UK Travel - £35000 per annum

An established UK manufacturer and supplier of high-quality industrial dry-steam cleaning equipment is looking to hire a Field Service Engineer to support continued growth following a recent acquisition by a global parent company. This is a hands-on role based from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, with regular customer site work and occasional travel.

The Role

Working a 37-hour week, you’ll be responsible for servicing, repairing and supporting specialist industrial equipment both at the workshop and on customer sites.

Key responsibilities:

  • Service and repair customer equipment at the Cheltenham premises
  • Attend customer sites to carry out on-site servicing and repairs
  • Provide installation support and training for new equipment
  • Produce quotations, issue service reports, and maintain accurate work logs
  • Act as a technical support backup for other engineers and end users, working closely with the wider team

Additional requirements:

  • Carry out other reasonable tasks aligned to the role
  • Very occasional travel to mainland Europe may be required

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a technical service role repairing/servicing electrical equipment or machinery (including 3-phase)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical engineering experience
  • Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and customer service skills with the ability to understand user needs
  • Competent IT skills (ideally Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • Passport
  • Right to work in the UK
