Buyer / Yeovil / £19.10 per hour

Contract: 12‑month temporary contract (potential to extend) 

A leading Aerospace & Defence organisation is seeking a Buyer to join their procurement team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supplier engagement, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and delivers high‑quality purchasing support.

Key Responsibilities

• Issue RFQs and manage supplier responses
• Review and negotiate quotations
• Raise and manage Purchase Orders (POs)
• Conduct supplier performance reviews
• Manage invoices and resolve discrepancies
• Work closely with OperWhat We’re Looking Forations, CS&S, Finance and other internal teams
• Support purchasing KPIs and operational performance targets
• Verify accuracy of Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and POs

Ideal person

• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• High attention to detail
• Experience in procurement or supply chain (Aerospace/Engineering desirable)
• Confident working with suppliers and cross‑functional teams

Hours: 37 per week 

Working Pattern: Hybrid
