IT Manager – O365 -  Remote

 

IT Manager required for a leading Medical company based in the UK to be responsible for managing the provision of the IT systems and support.  In particular to provide technology leadership in the development and implementation of IT systems that will drive the business and provide a competitive advantage.  The IT Manager will provide expertise in the introduction of new technology to the business, such as bespoke software development and systems integration, including integration to customers’ systems.

The ideal candidate for this role will be working as an IT Manager currently or be working within a senior infrastructure / support role.

 

Please note this is a remote role with UK travel to the company’s offices when required.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technology leadership and support to the leadership team and to all colleagues
  • Provision of IT service management in collaboration with the CIO and other colleagues to ensure service levels are established and met
  • To provide systems to enable management information reporting
  • Management of IT suppliers, ensuring strong working relationships and adherence to contracts
  • Provide expertise and support to project managers as required
  • Ensure IT security controls are implemented and ensure compliance with the information security and information governance policies
  • Budget management and IT cost forecasting
  • Develop and maintain an IT roadmap to support the business
  • Full line management of IT Technician(s), including managing of performance, absence and conduct in addition to training and recruitment of new and existing direct reports.
  • Maintain a fair and up to date IT support rota, ensuring adequate staffing and that there is technical support for staff at all times

 

Key Skills

  • Significant experience at IT management level including team leadership and development
  • Experience of desktop/ office applications, especially Office 365
  • Experience of having proactively driven IT service improvements
  • IT service management experience
  • Experience of managing external service providers
  • Able to work proactively and plan, organise and manage own workload
  • Strong communication skills and able to deal professionally with people at all levels
  • Must be flexible in approach to the work as priorities change
  • Confident and personable with strong emotional intelligence
  • A fast learner with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of GDPR and Data Protection legislation
  • Experience and familiarity with cyber security controls

 

Salary: £45,000 and £55,000 per annum plus benefits.
