Salary: GBP55000 - GBP65001 per annum

Data Engineer – Java Script – London

Data Engineer required for a leading company based in London to be responsible for seeing through complex problems and creating excellent visualisations and undertake UI development, as well as having the vision and spontaneity to contribute new ideas that gain traction within the team. 

The role will require someone who has a strong D3 and Java Script background as well as API experience to access multiple data sets from multiple sources.  Qlik skills would also be desirable. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for defining and delivering high quality user interface and visualisations for our clients
  • Analysis of existing bugs and process to fix
  • Design, develop, and test new functionality on front end portal
  • Design, create and tune physical database objects (tables, views, indexes) to support logical and dimensional models; maintain the referential integrity of the database
  • Work closely with stakeholders, both internal & external to develop future developments
  • Create and maintain roadmap of workload and responsibilities
  • Undertaking software testing against specifications
  • Create and maintain technical design documentation regarding all responsibilities described above

 

 

Key Skills

  • Demonstrated experience of advanced interactive data visualisations
  • Understanding of engaging geospatial and mapping capabilities
  • Solid experience working with data sets, preferably inside a Qlik environment
  • Connecting to external APIs following standard infosec protocols
  • Write clean, effective and reusable code with notes for others throughout
  • Proactive to remain up to date with latest technologies and techniques
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively as part of a team, showing strong collaboration and resourcefulness
  • Experience developing and managing new and existing partnerships with 3rd party vendors

Salary: £55,000 and £65,000 per annum plus benefits.
