Data / Test Manager – Data Environment – Milton Keynes
Date and Environment Manager required for a leading manufacturing company based in Milton Keynes to be responsible for the Management and Provision of all Non Productive IT Environments and relevant Data to support the Delivery of Programmes and Projects within the business. The Environments need to be maintained and fully aligned and configured mirroring Production. The Data needs to conform to existing Data Policies.
The ideal candidate would have worked within a Data or Environment role previously or have come from a Test Manager background but have worked within Data Testing. As this is a greenfield role the company would like to secure someone who has preformed this sort of role within a business previously.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all test environments, ensuring the consistency and availability of environments to support test management across the IT project portfolio
- Co-ordinate environment refresh activities to support Test Management plans
- Liaise with Portfolio team and Test Manager on all in-flight and pipeline projects, mapping project environment requirements to availability
- Manage environment contention, Data and version control issues to a solution
- Ensure the non-Productive Environments project delivery process is continually fit for purpose so that project managers and project delivery staff have a standardised process to follow to ensure that Environment and Data standards are met
- Provides data and environments to large or complex development projects, ensuring adherence to policies and governance. Track and manage and dependencies and risks
- Produce management reports and monthly status reports detailing environment activities, risks, and issues to provide stakeholders with the information they need to monitor progress and proactively respond to any potential issues.
- Implementing Environment solutions for projects in a dynamic corporate environment
- Communicating and collaborating with project and technical teams on Environment requirements, delivery and support
- Delivering and Maintaining Environment Management Plans, Bookings, Access Details and Schedules for Projects
- Working with Project Teams and Operations on Technical Environment Delivery Solutions
Key Skills
- Experience in IT Environment Management in a corporate environment
- Proven supplier and stakeholder management experience
- Demonstrable financial and budget management experience
- Management reporting
- Good understanding of IT infrastructure.
- Demonstrable expertise with engineering tools such as, Jira, Confluence or similar
- Cloud experience or exposure to various cloud-based applications
- Technical background in software engineering and delivery
Salary: £61,000 and £80,000 per annum plus benefits.
