Network Engineer – 3^rd Line Support – Ellesmere Port

Network / FirePower / Palo Firewalls / Cisco / CCNA / CCNP / VLANs / Routing

Network Engineer required for a leading manufacturing company based in Ellesmere Port to be responsible for designing, building and providing third-line support for complex IP networks, that are secure, scalable, resilient and give high performance.

Key Skills and Responsibilities

• Minimum CCNA, ideally working towards or have CCNP
• Experience in designing, building and providing third-line support for complex IP networks, that are secure, scalable, resilient and give high performance.
• Knowledge of network design for security: VLANs, ACLs, out-of-band management, VRFs. Cisco 5500 ASA experience.
• Experience configuring secure protocols such as IPsec, DMVPN, SSL VPNs and SNMPv3.
• Experience with, and knowledge of, enterprise- and operator-scale routing design using protocols such as OSPF & BGP and technologies such as MPLS VPNs and QoS.
• LAN switching design & deployment expertise in small- and medium-scale data centre and enterprise environments, including RSTP/PVST, LAG and first-hop resilience and security protocols.
• Visio documentation – physical and logical network diagrams

Knowledge and experience of FirePower IPS, Palo Firewalls, AWS, Meraki Wireless or F5 Load Balancers would be desirable.

The salary my client is offering for this position £45,000 to £48,000 per annum depending on experience.
