Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased)

12hr Panama Permanent Night Shift (7-7)

Our client is a leading manufacturer, that is part of a larger global group, they pride themselves on producing innovative products for various markets.

Due to growth within the business they are looking for an enthusiastic and driven multi-skilled maintenance engineer that is electrically biased, to work on their night shift operation

Role & Responsibilities:

• Role requires someone that is driven to maximise machine output and minimise plant downtime
• Once trained, will be the sole maintenance engineer on the night shift rotation
• Carry out electrical & mechanical fault finding, PPM’s and first-line breakdown response
• Working on production machinery, conveyors, driers, chiller systems, ancillary equipment, injection moulding machines, extruders, automated assembly machines, robotics, packaging machinery
• PLC – electrical fault finding & interrogation
• Dealing with air & pneumatic systems, gearboxes, hydraulics, motors, servo drives, sensors
• Highlight areas for improvements, CI projects, promote lean manufacturing
• Work as part a team and on own initiative sometimes

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Must be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer with an electrical biased
• Strong electrical problem solving & analytical skills
• Completed an Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering
• Must have worked in manufacturing, ideally plastics, FMCG or food
• PLC – electrical fault finding & interrogation skills
• Worked on high-speed production machinery, automation & controls, ancillary equipment, injection moulding machines, robotics, assembly machines
• Comfortable with being the sole engineer on the night shift rotation – training provided
• Must be happy working across manufacturing, plant equipment & site services
• Beneficial to have 17th or 18th Edition
• Trained to work on air systems & pneumatics
• Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Knowledge of health & safety and quality standards
• Be able to read & interpret electrical engineering drawings

Shifts & Benefits Package:

• Shift:- 12hr Panama Night Shift (7-7)
• Salary:- £40,000 – £44,500
