Commutable from – Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Leighton Buzzard, Luton, Bedford, Aylesbury

Monday-Thursday Nights (5:30pm-5:30am) – Every Weekend off!

 

£52,000-£58,500 (DOE) – Rising to £64,000 with training plan!

Our client is a leading food manufacturing company, the site is part of a larger national organisation. Due to growth and further expansion within the factory, they are looking for a number of shift engineers (electrically biased) to join their night shift team.

 

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide electrical & mechanical support & repairs for all high-speed food processing, production & packaging machinery, site services & associated utilities
  • Carry out PPM’s, reactive maintenance & root cause analysis
  • PLC – electrical fault finding on various models
  • Project work – constantly investing in new machinery and equipment upgrades
  • Continuous improvements, lean manufacturing developments
  • Site Services & facilities maintenance when required
  • Work closely with production to reduce downtime

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

 

  • Must be a multi-skilled engineer (electrically biased)
  • Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding, root cause analysis & problem solving skills
  • Ideally have worked in food manufacturing/production
  • PLC – electrical fault-finding capabilities
  • Have completed a time-served apprenticeship
  • Comfortable with working in a refrigerated environment
  • Must have worked in some form of high-speed manufacturing environment
  • 18th Edition would be great
  • Qualified to NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 minimum
  • Able to work on own initiative and part of a small team
  • Any experience with boilers & steam systems beneficial
  • Knowledge of continuous improvements & lean manufacturing processes
