£42,000 + Overtime

12hr Shifts – Panama Days & Nights

Our client is a leading food manufacturer, that values hard work, teamwork and developing people. They are part of a larger group with multiple sites around the world, they are looking for multi-skilled shift engineers (electrical biased).

 

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for reactive & planned maintenance (PPM’s) across all areas of engineering
  • Electrical & mechanical fault finding / problem solving on machinery/equipment
  • Sometimes working on own initiative when on shift
  • Project work – machine upgrades and new equipment installations
  • Working on high-speed food production lines, processing & packaging machinery
  • Carry out PPM schedules and update records
  • Maximising efficiencies and production output
  • Manage contractors, cleanliness of the workshop, purchasing of spares & equipment
  • Responsible for anything engineering related on site – site services, facilities, lighting etc.
  • Working on motors, pneumatics, PLC’s, inverters, sensors, control panels, gearboxes

 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

 

  • Be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer – but with electrical biased
  • Formal apprenticeship trained
  • Must hold some form of electrical qualifications – ideally to ONC level
  • Electrical & mechanical fault finding capabilities
  • Food manufacturing experience or FMCG as a minimum
  • PLC – electrical fault finding – Siemens
  • Good organisational, time management & communication skills
  • Continuous improvement & root cause analysis mindset
  • Beneficial to be qualified in Food Safety, Hygiene and Health & Safety
  • Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding skills beneficial
  • Able to work effectively with food production teams
