Our client is a leading FMCG manufacturer that is making a huge investment in the factory over the next 5 years. Due to this growth and new production lines being installed, they are looking for an experienced Utilities, Facilities & Site Services Manager to manage the facilities function of the site.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for supporting manufacturing with fully functioning & availability across site services, facilities, utilities and general site maintenance
  • Managing a small team of facilities engineers – training, guidance, workload allocation & support
  • Deliver performance of KPi’s for maintenance, plant availability, Lean TPM implementation
  • Responsible for the site Legionella legal compliance, utilities recording, reporting & usage reports
  • Managing boilers, steam systems, ammonia plant, chillers, cooling towers, HVAC, BMS systems, wastewater treatment, HV systems
  • Produce utilities forecasts, performance report for kWh / hL
  • Act as site electrical duty holder – managing HV and domestic electrical systems
  • Manage facilities & utilities budgets and deliver cost improvements
  • Look after external suppliers & contractors, monitor performance, negotiate on costs
  • Manage site environmental agendas and projects

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

 

  • Must have experience of site Legionella legal compliance
  • Worked in FMCG industry, preferably food, drink or packaging manufacturing
  • Strong reporting experience in facilities – able to produce forecasts on consumption
  • Ideally have previously been a site electrical duty holder
  • Managed servicing & repairs for boilers, ammonia plant, steam, HV, cooling towers, chillers, treatment plant, refrigeration
  • Knowledge of Lean / TPM manufacturing techniques within manufacturing
  • Looked after a small team of facilities engineers previously
  • Experienced in managing budgets and site legal compliance for utilities & facilities
  • Knowledge of planned maintenance systems – CMMS
  • Coaching & developing people experience
  • Able to maintain relationships with colleagues, contractors and external suppliers
  • Be an experienced managed that has worked in complex fast-moving sites
  • Knowledge of ISO systems – Environmental, Health & Safety, Quality
