Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Biased)

Commutable from – Huntingdon, St. Ives, Peterborough, Wisbech, March, Ely, Sutton, Chatteris
Monday – Friday Double Days (6-2 / 2-10)

Our client is a leading food manufacturing & packaging company, the site is part of a larger national organisation. Due to growth and further expansion within the factory, they are looking for an electrical biased maintenance engineer to join their team.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Carry out PPM’s, breakdowns, fault finding, testing & inspection off all production & packaging machinery
- Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs
- PLC – electrical fault finding
- Dealing with high-speed production lines & packaging machinery
- Working on sensors, motors, control panels, contactors, relays, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes
- Site services / facilities – water treatment plant, boilers, steam systems, BMS
- Continuous improvement project work
- Monitoring and ordering of spares & parts
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Must be an electrically biased maintenance engineer
- Qualifications needed – minimum City & Guilds Electrical Installation
- Time-served Apprenticeship trained
- Ideally have 17th or 18th Edition Electrical
- Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding and problem solving skills
- Comfortable working on own when needed
- Must have worked in food manufacturing or packaging
- PLC – electrical fault finding skills
- Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding would be beneficial
- Happy working on production machinery, site services & facilities
