Commutable from – Huntingdon, St. Ives, Peterborough, Wisbech, March, Ely, Sutton, Chatteris

Monday – Friday Double Days (6-2 / 2-10)

Our client is a leading food manufacturing & packaging company, the site is part of a larger national organisation. Due to growth and further expansion within the factory, they are looking for an electrical biased maintenance engineer to join their team.

 

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

  • Carry out PPM’s, breakdowns, fault finding, testing & inspection off all production & packaging machinery
  • Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs
  • PLC – electrical fault finding
  • Dealing with high-speed production lines & packaging machinery
  • Working on sensors, motors, control panels, contactors, relays, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes
  • Site services / facilities – water treatment plant, boilers, steam systems, BMS
  • Continuous improvement project work
  • Monitoring and ordering of spares & parts

 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

 

  • Must be an electrically biased maintenance engineer
  • Qualifications needed – minimum City & Guilds Electrical Installation
  • Time-served Apprenticeship trained
  • Ideally have 17th or 18th Edition Electrical
  • Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding and problem solving skills
  • Comfortable working on own when needed
  • Must have worked in food manufacturing or packaging
  • PLC – electrical fault finding skills
  • Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding would be beneficial
  • Happy working on production machinery, site services & facilities
